Before booking a car in Agadir, four questions almost always come up: which documents to show, the minimum age, whether you leave a deposit and what the insurance covers. This guide gives the answers as they appear in the Hilal Luxury Cars rental terms, along with what to have ready before you arrive.
Documents to bring
Each driver must show a valid driving licence held for at least one year. Only the people named on the agreement may drive: if you plan to share the driving during your stay, have every driver added when you book rather than at handover.
When confirming your booking, the team tells you which other documents to bring. Get them ready before you travel and keep them to hand, especially if the car is handed over as soon as you land at Al Massira airport.
Minimum age and licence history
Drivers must be at least 21 and have held their licence for a year or more. The rule is the same across the fleet, from the small city car to the SUV, and for every driver on the agreement.
If a young driver in your group has held a licence for less than a year, they will not be able to drive the rental car, which is worth knowing before you share out the driving.
The deposit: none with full coverage
At Hilal Luxury Cars the rental is paid in advance, at the final price confirmed before you sign the agreement. For the deposit there are two options: with full coverage insurance, at 50 MAD a day, nothing is held during your stay and the excess is 0 MAD; with the standard option, a 2,500 MAD deposit is taken when you collect the keys and returned once the car is back.
Renting with no deposit does not mean no responsibility: fuel used and traffic offences committed during the rental remain the renter’s responsibility, and the agreement sets out the exclusions of each option. It is all explained on the no deposit car rental page.
Included insurance
Every rental includes the insurance set by the applicable policy. Cover, exclusions and the excess amount are set out in the agreement: read it before you drive off and ask the team about anything that seems unclear.
In the event of an accident or theft, make the scene safe first, then contact the team and the relevant authorities straight away. You will then pass on the information needed for the report.
Vehicle condition, use and return
The car’s condition, equipment and accessories are checked together at pickup and return. Take your time over this walk-round: it avoids misunderstandings when you bring the car back.
Keep to the agreed return place and date. An extension must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and accepted by the agency, and any change to the agreement needs written approval. Driving must stay responsible: no racing, no unlawful use, no driving under the influence, and the car cannot be handed on to anyone else.
At the airport: what to plan
For a handover at Al Massira airport, give your flight number or arrival time when booking. The team confirms the exact time and spot on WhatsApp and can be reached 24/7 if your flight is delayed.
